Five Six Grab Your Crucifix
Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash – The Nightmare Warriors is a sequel to the comic book Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, which is a sequel to the film Freddy vs. Jason, which is a crossover sequel to both the Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street film franchises. Whew. To tell you the truth, I really only wrote about the first Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash comic book so I could write about its sequel, which is chock full of awesome fan service to people who are into the original Jason and Freddy franchises. It’s also one of those stories where the writers ultimately just say “fuck it” and go completely outlandishly nuts. I like those kinds of stories.

Punch Your Head Right Off Your Fucking Neck
I am one of those people who actually loved the movie Freddy vs. Jason. I have distinct memories of drawing Freddy vs. Jason comics as a kid, and staging battles on the day camp playground (I was always Freddy, of course). I waited my entire life for that movie, and I wasn’t disappointed when it finally became a reality. While I thought it definitely leaned more towards Nightmare than Friday, it was a pretty good mash-up of both franchises, with all the classic elements that made them both great. Plus, Jason’s rampage at the cornfield rave was just fucking stellar, wasn’t it? Yeah it was.
